Sketchbook
Worked on my sketchbook a lot today. Ideas of how to display my work in public for media tests and final exposition have been the main focus. Using a mix of paint, collage techniques and digital manipulation to visualise ideas with possible addition of pencil later in the process.

Guerrilla Exposition
As my work will dominantly be working with large structures design to draw the eye in a public place the idea of exposition is an interesting one to work with.
Ideally I would like to have an isolated area that I can adapt to reflect my main piece to make the background and artifact tie together. If this would be possible I'd like the background to colour and shape match the area or draw/paint/project a design over the object and background in it's entirety.

origami jewelry
Learning to make some basic origami jewelry seems to be a good way to develop my work so far and fit it around my client. There is also a particular selection of jewelery that would work well as origami models. I plan to recreate these in larger form for public display to draw attention to the jewelry department.

Client
Yvonne's will be my client for this project
The shop I will be advertising for sells jewelry, candles, ornaments, gifts, lamps and furniture.
They also sell costumes but as this is well advertised already the owner feels there's no need to advertise this further.

Projection mapping
Images are projected onto buildings in a way that it seems the animations are part of the building itself.
I found some really cool examples of this and it's a strong consideration for my project.

I'd have to approach this on a much smaller scale of course but it could work really well I think

It's all a matter of Principles
I decided to research some of the key principals that help define any kind of marketing as guerrilla marketing and these are some of the ones that came up most often.
An other thing that was mentioned fairly often was that it's just as effective, if not more effective to have the form of advertising unconnected to the product or company advertised. This is so that the viewer will decide to take on the information rather than feeling like they're having it forced on them.
- Guerrilla marketing should be based on human psychology rather than experience, judgement, and guesswork.
- Instead of money, the primary investments of marketing should be time, energy and imagination.
- Be very good at one thing, not just OK at lots of things.
- Forget about competition, instead find ways to work with or around other companies.
- Use current technology to build your work, not to replace it.
- Messages are aimed at individuals or smaller groups at a time (personal connections)
- Focuses on gaining consent of the individual to take in the information, rather than making a direct sale.

I will be trying to use as mush of his work as possible to start with and build from there with newer work
